Sylvia Čápová-Vizváry
is an artist with a perfect technical foundation, which she does not, however, employ as an end in itself. Virtuosity, in her rendering, is not the category which should take pride of place. With equal conviction this artist performs passages that are lyrical, meditative, or dramatic and emotionally soaring.

Sylvia Čápová-Vizváry's repertoire is extensive. It stretches from the fundamental and also the less-frequented compositions of baroque and classical-romantic literature, represented by the works of
J. S. Bach, D. Scarlatti, W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven,
F. Schubert, F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, F. Chopin, F. Liszt,
J. Brahms, C. Franck, M. P. Mussorgsky to the classics and avantgarde composers of the 20th century, as well as the piano work of the most important Slovak authors, such as
J .L .Bella, R. Berger, J. Cikker, E. Suchoň, I. Hrušovský and others.

In her choice of repertoire she gives preference to those compositions which can genuinely be said to have momentous content.
